Q: Can Franciscan Care Center, Sylvania care for my family member who is confused or suffering from some form of dementia or Alzheimer's Disease?

A: Yes. Franciscan Care Center, Sylvania provides a unique program for residents with cognitive impairment. We offer special activities in a small, intimate environment. We also offer the security of a wireless code alert system for those residents who wander.

Q: Can Franciscan Care Center, Sylvania care for residents who need skilled nursing care?

A: Yes. Franciscan Care Center, Sylvania is Medicare certified and currently serves many residents with physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, intravenous therapy and other skilled needs. These services are provided in the privacy of their own rooms or in our special therapy room.

Q: May I have my own television and phone?

A: Yes. Each room is equipped with outlets for a cable ready television and a telephone. To activate your telephone, please call Verizon at 1-800-483-4600 and make arrangements. They will bill you for installation and monthly service. A cordless phone is located in the building for residents who prefer not to have a telephone in their room.

Q: Can Franciscan Care Center, Sylvania care for special dietary needs?

A: Yes. Many of our residents are on a low salt or no sugar added diets. In addition we offer many therapeutic diets for residents who require their food ground or pureed. All meals are planned by a Registered Dietician with input from our residents. At Franciscan Care Center, Sylvania residents may choose menu selections based on their dining preference.

Q: Can I pay with Medicare, Medicaid, or insurance?

A: Yes. We can accept Medicare, Medicaid, and many insurances as payment.
